K-Major will herald the release of "The MAJORity Rules Mixtape" http://feeds.artistdata.com/a-AR-JD1I4719274N1027/ADN-BG-1101F0FA497CA140 Blog entry by 3MG Marketing

3MG Entertainment recording artist K-Major has announced details of his hugely anticipated mixtape. "The MAJORity Rules" - which includes the hit single, "My Song" - arrives in streets and online on September 11th.

"My Song" is shaping up to be a breakout hit for the ATL-based rapper/musician/producer, earning both immediate acclaim and popular success. The track has ascended to the top of mixtapes and playlists with 2,358 single units sold to date.

Having spent much of this year sharing stages with such like-minded artists as Lil Twist, Swazy Baby, Lloyd, F.L.Y, Juney Boomdata, K-Major will herald the release of "The MAJORity Rules Mixtape" with a full-scale southeastern promotional tour consisting of the Black College Football Tour, The American Cancer Society Awareness Tour, etc. The dates begin Wednesday, September 8th at Woodland High School, Wildcat Auditorium and continues through early December (see attached www.ilike.com/artist/kmajor).

One of hip-hop's most unique and exciting young artists, K-Major has quickly drawn a bounty of rapturous critical applause. In its 2010 "Whos Got Next" feature, Slip n Slide Records celebrated the rapper's "versatility."

Born Kendricke DeMond Brown, K-Major is already a significant force in Southern hip-hop, having captured underground interest with a variety of artist features, while he was still attending high school.

K-Major also established a major presence online, having now logged over 400k total plays at his official MySpace page, www.myspace.com/kmajor3mg. In addition, his official website, www.kmajor.com includes tons of exclusive tracks, videos and user-generated features.

"My Song" breaks Top 30 Charts http://feeds.artistdata.com/a-AR-JD1I4719274N1027/ADN-BG-C21D9CC3B9F0A067 Blog entry by Nadia Torres

Indie artist K-Major is getting closer and closer to making 'the whole world say this is my song.' His single 'My Song' has hit the top 30 on the Independent Music Network's mainstream music charts. The Independent Music Network breaks new artist by giving them an outlet to have their music played. Real fans vote for songs, not record executives, and determine what songs get played without all the politics.

3MG Entertainment released the single 'My Song' a little over a month ago and so far, the response from music listeners to DJs has been extremely positive. If the feedback he has received off the single is any indication of his fan appeal, then wait until his freshman album 'The MAJORity Rules' is released.

Cartersville native Brown on track to achieve sizable music goals http://feeds.artistdata.com/a-AR-JD1I4719274N1027/ADN-BG-63172EC0B9F3649B Blog entry by Marie Nesmith of The Daily Tribune News

Kendricke Brown, who is known in the music industry as K-Major, wins the Tastemakers Got Talent Show Feb. 16. SPECIAL
At 18, Kendricke Brown is starting to make a name for himself in the music industry. While the Cartersville native is staying busy, juggling college with being a musician and running a record label, he also has his sights on more monumental goals.

"I want to be an entrepreneur in not only music," said Brown, who is known in the music industry as K-Major. "I want to do a lot of things in fashion, [become a] business owner and a major recording company owner. I also want to be affiliated with Live Nation and I want to have a roster of platinum-selling recording artists other than myself. ... I make small goals to reach, but also in the industry that I'm in it's really a one-day-at-a-time type thing. So you really have to have self-motivation and push yourself every day to continue to do what you need to do."

In February, Brown was a featured independent artist spotlight of the week on Slip-N-Slide Records' Web site, www.slipnslideworld.com, and the winner of the Tastemakers Got Talent Show. At the talent show in Tallahassee, Fla., 20 entrants performed one song and were judged on their music quality, crowd interaction and showmanship. The win enabled Brown to receive passes to the TJ's DJ's Tastemakers DJ/Music Conference Feb. 17, where he sang his hip hop/R&B single "My Song," which currently is playing on more than 350 Clear Channel radio stations across the nation.

"It was a statement for him as a person," said Kenny Brown, Kendricke's manager and older brother, about the talent award. "It was a statement for him as an artist, just basically embracing the true essence of music and to be recognized on a national scale for that is a very, very big accomplishment for him, especially coming from Cartersville, Ga.

"I know there is a lot of people that do music and that are musicians but don't really get outside of the box. So for him, it was an accomplishment stepping outside of the box, actually winning an unanimous first-place decision from all five judges."

Describing his brother as the all-around total package as an artist, he said some of K-Major's attributes include being a singer, rapper, producer and writer.

"He's a student of the art," said Kenny Brown, who serves as president of 3MG Entertainment, which he formed with his brother. "What that means is he's in school for music. He's been doing music since he was 9 years old. He taught himself how to play the keyboard and taught himself how to play a lot of the instruments which he plays now. He's also expanded and developed his art so he has his own unique melodies, his own unique patterns and it makes him stand out from a typical artist coming from Atlanta, coming from Cartersville, coming from Georgia."

Kendricke Brown's music career started when, at 15, he sold more than 3,000 copies of his first album, "Underage Restriction," in Cartersville. Afterward he signed a professional record contract with Black Shield in Atlanta, then joined his brother in forming 3MG Entertainment. Along with him, the label also represents Sy Yung and Santrella.

By early summer, 3MG Entertainment will release his next project, "The MAJORity Rules," a mixtape that also will feature artists like David Blayne, Juney Boomdata and Yung. Fans will be able to listen to and download the album from his label's Web site, www.3MGlive.com.

While he is experiencing success in his professional life, Kendricke Brown believes education is an integral step in achieving his overall goals. A 2009 graduate of Cartersville High School, he currently is studying audio production at the Art Institute of Atlanta.

"[To younger musicians] I would first say stay in school because school is going to play a big part in learning," he said. "I would say [learn] how to organize [your] thoughts and time. So school first and just stay motivated and dedicated to your craft and never let anybody tell you that you can't do something."

The Making of A Music Mogul

Ever wonder what a "music-mogul-in-the-making” looks like? Better yet, do you find yourself wondering what it takes to become a music mogul during these vastly accessible days of technology and internet?  Well, wonder no longer.  Allow us to introduce to you 18-year old music prodigy, Kendricke Brown currently known as “K-Major” —Atlanta, GA’s most talked about and highly sought after hit maker and beat slayer.

K-Major is absolutely phenomenal when it comes to his love and craft for music.  Today, K-Major’s alias, penmanship and ingenuity is linked to more than 100 songs collectively, all of which he has either produced, recorded and/or collaborated on; thus, proving his credibility and certifying him as a writer, producer, R&B/Pop singer, and Hip-Hop artist.  Also a member of the incredibly gifted Hip-Hop duo, 3MG, K-Major maintains a full daily workload, and likes to keep his hands in various areas of production—from the initial glint of inspiration of a new track, all the way to the final mix down and mastering—in order to ensure the final product has been given more than their best effort.  Under K-Major’s masterminding, 3MG has released three popular singles, “Fantasy,” “I’m Famous,” and “A-Lotta,” plus a remix of “Fantasy” featuring Slip-N-Slide Records recording artist, Swazy Baby.  These blazing tracks can be heard on airwaves that span across the globe—from the US and South America to Africa, Germany, Japan, Australia, and beyond.

Adding to his long list of references, K-Major is also associated to working with some of the industry’s hottest artists such as J-Money, Dem Franchize Boyz, Juney Boomdata, Young Dro, Yung Joc, and so many more.  As a result, K-Major is regularly requested by industry, as well as independent, artists who have heard of his work and are interested in working with this young whiz…but more importantly, all are artists who have become fans of performing at K-Major’s tune.

K-Major is absolutely phenomenal when it comes to his love and craft for music.  Today, K-Major’s alias, penmanship and ingenuity is linked to more than 100 songs collectively, all of which he has either produced, recorded and/or collaborated on; thus, proving his credibility and certifying him as a writer, producer, R&B singer, and Hip Hop artist.  Also a former member of the incredibly gifted Hip-Hop duo, 3MG, K-Major maintains a full daily workload with the development of his first solo project, and likes to keep his hands in various areas of production—from the initial glint of inspiration of a new track, all the way to the final mix down and mastering—in order to ensure the final product has been given more than his best effort.  Under K-Major’s masterminding, 3MG released three popular singles, “Fantasy,” “I’m Famous,” and “A-Lotta,” plus a remix of “Fantasy” featuring Slip-N-Slide Records recording artist, Swazy Baby.  These blazing tracks can be heard on airwaves that span across the globe—from the US and South America to Africa, Germany, Japan, Australia, and beyond. Be on the lookout for his brand new single entitled "My Song" featuring Cartersville based rapper Chosen One.
