Hello guys:

I know it's been a while since my last newsletter, but I haven't stopped since I got to Barcelona, 6 months ago (already!). I hope you started 2012 with new hopes & projects, just like me!

First off, I know I've been talking about this for the longest time, but we are finishing with the last details of my second album. This album is going to have a bigger push than the last one, so that comes with a bigger preparing time: contracts, licenses, publishing, etc.

On the other hand, I'm writing to talk about a new project that I started in the beginning of this new year 2012 & in a small amount of time started flying. It's my new project, "Diary of an Indie Artist", started on January 1st in my Youtube Channel. This diary collects, through my experiencies as an indie artist, tricks, information & steps you need to take to have a successful career as an indie artist, beyond the creative part of music.

The idea has had a lot of interest by different people, right now I cannot talk about anything concrete, but I will have more news very soon. I am also going to be doing a segment in Spanish Radio RNE (Radio Exterior), that you'll be able to listen to every Tuesday from 11am-12pm (ET) at Radio Exterior, inside of the program "Me Lo Dices o Me Lo Cantas". This program is in Spanish, so if you do not understand Spanish I recommend you to just view my videos on Youtube and/or follow my blog, Diary of an Indie Artist.

A few months ago I had the honor to be part of this song by Patrick Bradley, produced by Jeff Lorber & extracted from his record "Under The Sun". *Silvia Zaragoza - Hypnotic (feat. IreneB)

This collaboration was born thanks to our dear Aaron-Carl, may he rest in peace. Silvia, producer & DJ, contacted me after listening to the Forgive Me Now Remix & together we created this house/dance song, so get ready to dance & buy this song & its remixes on iTunes or Amazon.

*Romy Low y Diego Martin - Sólo Soy Contigo (I've Been Waiting)

A few months ago I introduced you to Romy Low, catalan singer, that release her first record "Flapper Girl". Included in this record is the song "I've Been Waiting" (iTunes/Amazon), that I co-wrote. This record has been chosen to be the thurst single of the album, for that reason it's been adapted to a Spanish-English version, "Sólo Soy Contigo", that Romy Low sings with male singer Diego Martin. The song is included in the bonustrack version of the album, that you can find on iTunes & Amazon, and you will be able to buy physically from September 16th.

Hello!

I've been M.I.A. for a couple months, working very hard to have this record finished before I go back to Barcelona. It seems like it's gonna happen! Frankie Biggz is mixing the record right now, as I write! He's doing a great job, so let's all thank Frankie!! Thank youuuu!!!

For those who don't know, after mixing, the album will need to be mastered & it will be ready for manufacture! This time we wanted to do everything step by step and without missing any of the steps! :) We know you guys are dying to hear this new record, but I can assure you that the wait will be worth it once you listen to this album. Both of us, Frankie & I, as well as the rest of musicians, songwriters, artists and producers involved in the creation of this album, are very proud of this album and cannot wait for you to listen to it and give us your opinion.

In a personal level, I am in what I can name "a new beginning", because I'm moving back to Barcelona (Spain) in about a week. After 4 years in the USA I feel ready to come back to my hometown with new knowledge and "new eyes" towards the Spanish music industry. I'm very excited to be able to clean the face of the pesimism that seems to flood the Spanish music field.

So I close this chapter of my life in America (I'm gonna come back to visit some friends! YEAH!). I've been lucky to meet very good new friends, and why not, also what you could call enemies. All of them have taught me to face all kind of challenges, both proffesional and personal. Always with a smile!

And this is all for this newsletter, I hope to bring very good news in the next few weeks. Now I gotta pack & pray that I don't get charged for overweight at the airport... Barcelona... HERE I COME!!!

Hello!!

I´ve been a long time without writing, I know! But to be honest there are not many news. We are full time with the recording of the new album, as well as what all of that entails: mixing, mastering, photo shoots, videos, etc. I know all of you are very excited and impatient waiting to listen to this second record, but with this one we wanted to take the time to give the best of us in all senses, we don´t want to rush it and we want for everything to be ready when it´s time for the release.

I do want to talk about the release of keyboardist Patrick Bradley´s album, produced by my friend Jeff Lorber and where I was invited to sing, the song I sing in is called Just Let Go, a ballad with other collaborations by musicians Dave Koz, Michael Thompson, Tony Moore & David Mann. The album is called Under The Sun & it will be out next April 26th, I will make sure to remind you so you can buy your copy!

Besides that, I am really excited because last weekend I had the chance to talk to one of my idols, songwriter Diane Warren. For those who don´t know who she is, she´s the pen behind hit records like Unbreak My Heart (Toni Braxton), Because You Loved Me (Celine Dion) and Can´t Fight The Moonlight (LeAnn Rimes). Thanks to Suzie Rose, another amazing songwriter, I had the opportunity to introduce myself to Diane & talk, not only about music, but about our other love, CATS! ;)

How are you doing? I know it's been a long time since I last wrote, but honestly, I haven't stopped doing things! I have some things to tell you, some good, some bad... but they're news anyway!

As most of you know, Jeff Lorber's record, the one that we collaborated in, was nominated to a Grammy in the Best Contemporary Jazz Album category. Last week they announced the winners and... Jeff didn't win :( However, it was great just being nominated!!

And leavin the not-so-good news, let's start with the good ones! We have a new website, thanks to my Spanish manager Fran Torres, the website is www.ireneb.es. However, for now it's only in Spanish, but we're working on the English one, I'll let you know when is up and running!

You can also see some changes in my Official Facebook, including a merchandising store where you can buy t-shirts and also a section where you can listen to snippets of my album, Metamorphosis.

Also, I'm starting to work on different projects as a songwriter and co-producer (always with my beloved Frankie Biggz) for other artists. One of those is the song "I've Been Waiting" from the explosive Romy Low, you can listen to it in Spotify, as well as iTunes. She's doing a poll at her Oficial Facebook to choose her next single, so if you feel like it, you can vote for our song! You can do it here. Thanks! That's it for now, I'm in Barcelona but this time without Frankie :( He went to Canada to record :( Also, we brought our cat  Bongo so he would get used to Barcelona before we come back in September, this time to stay!

As all of you know, the Grammy Awards are the most prestigious awards in the music. industry Well, last Wednesday they announced the 53th edition nominations. After the television show, where they announce the most important nominations (Album Of The Year, Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, etc.), I went to the website to look at the complete list of nominees. And what was my surprise to see this:

Guess what that means! Both me and my producer Frankie Biggz  are nominated to a Grammy for our collaboration in Jeff Lorber's album! As you might remember, Frankie and myself wrote and sang 4 songs in Jeff's record.

Guys, I can't express what this means to me, since any musician in the world dreams about winning a Grammy, only being nominated is a great prestige! Can you imagine if we win? Maybe soon I'll have one of these at home...

From here, I'd like send my congratulations to Mr. Jeff Lorber, Mr. Bobby Colomby and all the great musicians that collaborated in this album, and thank you very much for believing in us and giving us the opportunity to be part of the great work.

After all these emotions, I will tell you that I'm in Detroit visiting a part of my family, it's snowing and it's very cold, so you can imagine I don't really leave the house much... lol!

And the truth is I don't have many more things to talk about (as if it wasn't enough to be nominated to a Grammy! wow!), as soon as I get back to Orlando, we'll be finishing the recordings of my second album. I want to show you as soon as possible!

Besides this, I wanted to tell you a couple of things while getting ready for Christmas. I am mainly talking about collaborations:

Hi guys:

I know I've been lost for like a month and a half, but there was really  nothing interesting to talk about, we're still in the recording and mixing process of the album, that is taking a little longer than anticipated, but I promise you it will be worth it...

We took a couple of weeks of "rest" to come to Spain. Last week we went to the MTV Week in Madrid, We couldn't miss it !  We had a week full of concerts, shows and V.I.P. parties, and, although I am not a big fan of all that, I was very happy to see some friends that I had missed for a while, like our famous David Bisbal, joined by his always smiling guitar player David Palau ans his tour manager, Brian Sellei, the man that never lets us take pictures with him! We love you and miss you Aaron...

Hello everybody:

I'm finally in Spain, enjoying of my hometown and its people. To be honest, these last few days I didn't have time to  rest, but I did have time to go shopping, go to the gym (of course! here you have to burn double the calories! lol!)  and of course, being in the studio, there is always a studio in my life, either for me or for others.

Today I'm at the studio with a catalan band called Cybee, that are gonna be produced by Frankie Biggz, american production with catalan lyrics, wow! let's hear what it sounds like!

Yesterday we were at Hipnotik, for those who don't know this is a festival dedicated to the hip hop culture, we could see and hear the new trends & both Frankie and me had the chance to see the diferences between hip hop culture here and in the USA. Even though we're still babies compared to the country that saw the culture being born, we choose the good mood and healthy competitivity of Spain. I also had the chance to see some people II hadn't seen in a loooong time!

Let's see what next week brings us, I'm sure it's gonna be frentic as last one, I'm supposed to be here to relax! But it really never happens, but I do like it, I gotta be honest! I like to be busy!

For those who are in Barcelona remember we're gonna be at the Future Music Forum talking about the digital era in the music industry. A great opportunity for those that want to be introduced to the industry ora nybody that wants to learn a litte bit more how the times changed and want to adapt to the new trends.  .

I know I've been missing for a couple of weeks, but the truth is I don't really have much to tell you guys.  We've been literally working on this album, recording and recording... and we're late on our schedule! Yep, I am such a perfectionist! Whatcha gonna do? Be patient, music is coming soon... I promise!

Next week is my last week in the US before leaving to Barcelona, YAY! Can't wait to see my famili and friends, also making some business happen! Remember, if you're around Barcelona, me and Frankie Biggz are going to be at the  Future Music Forum on September 30th talking about the digital era from the artist point of view.

About the new record, I don't really want to reveal too much, I'm kinda supersticious, but I can tell you that I am superexcited because we have lots of projects coming, I hope this brings more success than the last one!

Talking about success, thanks to your votes we are now #1 at Conectate FM charts, surpassing Shakira & Juanes, wow! Of course, you can keep on voting to keep me there one more week, we've been there for 2 consecutive weeks! Thanks!

How´s your summer going? It´s been lighting speed for me over here, I work everyday and I don´t even know what month where in anymore! I hope you have more time to enjoy the sun, the beach or the pool...

I've been in the studio for about two weeks now, keeping the recordings and songwriting. I can't wait to release this album, but everything has to be done perfectly before the lauching of the first single, don't you think? I am going to tell you though that this is going to be awesome because we got so many good news about this album, but you have to be patient!

A couple of weeks ago we were in Atlanta, guests of Wanya Morris -member of legendary R&B group Boyz II Men- in his birthday party. Club Bella was full of people, one of them was songwriter Nate Walka -known for his penned hits Blame It (Jamie Foxx) & Say Aah (Trey Songz)-. Here you have a couple of pictures of that night:

The day after that, we were lucky enough to see En Vogue & Boyz II Men in concert, as always...They were increible! It makes me happy that there are still groups like that, that maintain their original sound.

In the world or IreneB I gotta tell you I'm really excited, because in less than a month we're back to Barcelona, for the Future Music Forum Conference, where Frankie Biggz and I will talk about the music industry from the artist's poingt of view. I'm really excited to talk about my experience and being able to help artists like me.  And talking about conferences and Frankie Biggz, tonight he will be doing a live chat in USTREAM (8PM/ET),  where he will talk about the music business secrets!! I'm sure it's going to be interesting, and the fact that's live makes it so you can ask any questions right then and there!! Here you have the link, I'll hope to see you there!!

Hi everybody:

How is everything doing? I keep recording my new album, I am very excited, we are also trying to keep the schedule for the release of this album.

We are also practising for new shows and future projects, so make sure you're up-to-date with our calendar, we might be coming to a city close to you! Last July 12th we had our show at Blue Martini Orlando, and even being Monday, we made it happen and had fun as if it was Saturday! ;)

Next week we're going to hit the road on our way up to Atlanta, where we will be atending to a big R&B artist birthday party, can I say who? Mmm... I don't know... just in case, I will keep my mouth shut... LOL... you will probably see pictures next week...

More news, this time in Spain, I hope I can see all of you in Barcelona on Sept. 29th & 30th. at the Future Music Forum, where  Frankie Biggz & me will be talking about new promotion & digital tendencies in the music industry of today. You cannot miss it! It's going to be super-interesting!

Hello everybody:

Before I start with the news I want to wish a Happy 4th of July to all my American friends around the world. I hope you´re having a great day and enjoy all the festivities & fireworks, here in Florida I don't know if it's going to be possible because it's been raining for the last 3 or 4 days... :(

And with that said, straight to news... LOL! This last week I've spent recording, I am very excited about this project, because this album is going to sound better than Metamorphosis, at least that's the intention! I can't wait for you to hear it! I'll keep you updated of what's going on on the following weeks...

For those who cannot wait for more music, remember that you can hear me featured in the new Jeff Lorber Fusion album, 'Now Is The Time',  on sale now, both physically & digitally.  The album recently debuted in #8 on the Jazz Album Billboard charts a couple of weeks ago. Hi everybody:

I've been missing for about 2 weeks, I know! Besides being my birthday a week ago, I travelled back to Orlando. How sad... but anyway, I will be back very soon (in September!).

Last week I've been recovering from the jet lag and trying to come back to my normal schedule, little by little, while some kids end the school year I go back to work! LOL! Recordings have been stopped for now, we've been doing more administrative stuff (my voice has to recover as well!), but tomorrow we're back to  the studio.

If you're in the US, you can already get a copy of the Jeff Lorber Fusion record, Now Is The Time, on iTunes, Amazon or even if you walk around your nearest F.Y.E.. For those in Europe, the official release date is June 18th.

Thanks to this collaboration I've gotten a lot of press, and, to my surprise, I've been included at the Billboard magazine website. Click here to see it. So that's it...  Only one week left to go to Spain, can't wait! I am really excited to go back to my hometown, plus we hace so many projects, recording the new album and we'll have time to set up the new release... lots of surprises for you guys!!

So, what else? We've been putting together the last details for my trip and the new songs, with Frankie Biggz & Amy Hartwig. Also thinking about themes for the cover, release dates, etc. But you guys know I always have my feet on the ground until everything has been tighten up!

Wow! How can I say that not much's been going on? I just remembered that last week we were at Joss Stone's concert and it was awesome, we also had the opportunity to meet her & take some pictures. She's great & she's got an incredible voice... Here you have the picture we took together:

Yesterday we talked on the phone with Mr. Jeff Lorber himself with new ideas for the promotion of his new album, ¨Now Is The Time¨ , where you might know I'm featured as a guest artist. Plus, today I am featured at his japanese fansite, with a little video that Frankie & I put together where we introduce ourselves and talk about how the idea of collaborating with Jeff came about, you can watch it here.

Net weekend I will be performing at the Cinco de Mayo Celebration at The OM Bar in New Smyrna Beach, FL. For those who are around, I'd love to see you there, plus it's free!

If all of this wasn't enough, I am thrilled because I'm going to be attending Babyface's concert, wow! I Not only as a producer, (one of the best in the 90's, I miss him!) but as an artist as well... The truth is, when I moved here, I didn't really think Orlando was going to be such an R&B place!! There is not a month that passes by without a concert!

How is Springtime treating you? I love Springtime! Even though in Florida is still warm almost all year, this year's been pretty cold too!

As you might know, in one of the songs in my album, I Wanna Fly, we used the famous jazz keyboard player Jeff Lorber's Rain Dance. I'm really excited! It will be my first time performing there, I've never been in the city itself, but only the airport.

I know I've been MIA for 2 weeks, but there is nothing really to tell you guys, everything is in projects! We are working very hard but there is nothing that I can really talk about... I can only tell you that there are reality shows, movies and new songs in the middle of everything... but nothing concrete...

On the other hand, I am really excited because there is not much time left until I go back to Spain again and I can see my family and friends, I can't wait! We are going to have time to close some business, but also time to rest and relax, an maybe record a little bit! I really need a break! Right now is from the gym to the studio & then sleeping... Working 24/7... and guess what? I wanted to go to the beach today and... it's raining!! :(

And talking about family, tomorrow is my dad's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! My father's called Juan (for those who don't know) and he loves to go to concerts with me, poor thing he's been 2 years without being able to do it that often, because I've been here in the USA, but whenever I come back to visit, we still have some time to go to concerts around Barcelona, last one we went to wasn't that good (no comment), but I hope Alicia Keys does a good job on June 2nd, because that's next!! Thanks dad! He's so cool! :D

Besides that, it also was my aunt Rosario's birthday (I call her Mai), so happy birthday to her too! I already told her I cannot buy her a car, but at least I can send my regards through here!! :) LOL!

So anyway, today I couldn't go to the beach, but I made some healthy pancakes (yep! I said healthy, I have this healthy recipe!) & I added some blackberries and it was yummy!!

So as I told you, there is not many news I can tell you about my career, everything is in process... but there are some things...

Las week Dedicated got to #1 in Overplay again, big "Thank yous" to all the people that keeps on playing me there so we get to #1!

Also, I am very happy that I am gonna be interviewed at Mental Salvation Radio next  May 25th, at 8PM (ET), so make sure to check that out, I will remind you the week before so you don't miss it! This is one of  my favorites from the album, as well as it is for a lot of people, a precious ballad with a brazilian feel to it... You & Me. This is the last song of the Metamorphosis Birthday Series, but I am going to write 3 more newsletters talking about my singles, since I didn´t have the chance to tell you about those.

How did we come up with You & Me? It was in my second trip to Miami in 2007 (May if I'm not mistaken). Frankie told me about this song that was playing in the radio, very simple but absolutely beautiful, with an acoustic guitar and very little percussion. At that time we didn't know who was singing, but the next day we asked our very good friend and artist Rico Williams and we found out it was Robin Thicke with his infamous ¨Lost Without You¨. After listening to it I don't have to mention that I loved it, right? So we started brainstorming about creating a song like that, very simple, that would make the audience fall in love with it.

A couple of days after we invited guitar player Michel Boza (aka Wahero) to record some guitars for our idea for ¨You & Me¨.  After that... it was all very fast, we had the melody & lyrics ready that same week.

After coming back to Barcelona, Mr. Frankie Biggz travelled to Canada to record with egipcian percussionist Diaa Tass at Little Chicago Studios, with our friend Tim Greencorn.

So after all that, we had to record final vocals, and since Mr. Greencorn is amazing with microphones, preamps and so on and so forth we took a trip to Ottawa to record my final performace. Sounds pretty good, uh? I totally love it, I think it's the best performance of the album, to be honest.

So there it goes, You & Me... dedicated to you...

How did your week start? Over here it´s all very quiet, I didn't even realize and it's Easter! Time flies! The truth is that we do almost the same everyday, so we don't realize it's Easter... it's just like any other week! Anywayz, just want to wish a very Happy Easter to everybody! Enjoy Sprintime!

Last week went very fast as well, even though we had to say goodbye to our friend Tim, we finally had time to sit down and review all the song submissions and so on! And we just realized we almost have all the songs ready, at least the music, and some others we have song and lyrics, so we just have to go ahead and record! Maybe we change some songs (sometimes the best songs are rewrites!), we also want to write a very powerful ballad and maybe something clubby. This album is gonna be longer than Metamorphosis, more songs for more feelings! I got a lot to say!

Anyway, for those who don't know, because you don't follow me on Twitter or Facebook or just because you weren't paying attention (ohhh, bad boy/girl! ;) make up guru Elessa V (you can follow her on twitter, youtube or her personal website) used my songs Dedicated & Me Dejo Llevar (this one is only available on the physical format of Metamorphosis) in one of her tutorials. I highly recommend this girl, because she'w very good at make up, don't be surprise if you find something really familiar when you come see me in concert! I use a lot of her tutorials and tips...

Last Wednesday we were hanging out all day at The Creek Ranch, because both Frankie Biggz and I are helping in the filming of very famous person's reality show (I cannot tell you who, yeah! I know! I always leave you wondering who!! You'll know very soon!!). There I had the chance to go on an airboat (for those who don't know what it is you can see it here) and see some alligators (scary by the way). Frankie tried horseback riding & skeet shooting, I just watched from afar... not a big fan of guns & tall horses (I stick with the ponies, LOL!) . Plus we had the luxury of  tasting Chef  Marcello Zito's exquisite & healthy food, he's a genius! BTW, just so you guys know, I turned to organic food, tired of preservatives and  hormones that mess with my metabolism... let's go back to natural!! I'll tell you how it goes in future newsletters...

We get to one of my favorite songs of the album, A Thousand Times. I have much love for it because I wrote it before I met Frankie Biggz & before of this Metamorphosis adventure started. My friend Dagga Layne, from Atlanta, sent me the track that would end up being A Thousand Times. And from there, in my room in Barcelona & a cheap microphone I wrote & recorded this song.

Only a couple of months after I met Frankie & sent him that demo, that didn´t sound like the song it is today, of course. When we started recording Metamorphosis we wanted to include it, but for some reasons we had to let it go for a while... Finally, with out hot head, we finally got the permission to use it and here it is, with its original structure and lyrics (can you tell that I am really proud of it? LOL!) but sounding a thousand times better...Visit  MySpace or ReverbNation to listen to it! And if you like... buy it!

How is everything going? I hope you had a great week! I have been pretty busy because we've had my very good friend  Tim Greencorn (Canadian producer) in town and we've been working on different projects, as well as having really awesome times! Thank you Tim!

On Tuesday and Wednesday we were working with his client, a young and talented 14 year old girl by the name of Amanda, with a great voice and great potential, I know very soon she's going to be big! We were writing a couple of songs and I was really happy to notice that I'm getting better everytime! It always helps to be surrounded by great pros like Tim Greencorn & Frankie Biggz. I am telling you, if you're ever in Canada, make sure you pay a visit to Little Chicago Studios, owned by Tim. Isn't it awesome? We recorded parts of ¨Metamorphosis¨ there, like some percussion & drums, as well as lead vocals for  You & Me¨, but I will talk more about this on next week's  Birthday Celebration Series.

Anyway, besides songwriting (we had some time with Amy Hartwig on Thursday as well), we also had time to chill and relax with a visit to the cinema (We watched Alice In Wonderland in 3D) & two (yes, 2!) visits to Saint Augustine, here in Florida, where my country (Spain) is really well represented with restaurants,  paintings and flags. They say that it's the third most haunted city in the USA (yep, ghosts & weird stuff). The truth is that we had a great time taking pictures of everything and I even think we had something in one of the pictures! But hey, they say it's all in the eye of the one who looks, right? ;)

This week we're going to be filming a very interesting project, but I cannot talk about it (you know, confidentiality of the contracts and all of that) and, if we have time, we will start recording a song that we have almost ready to go. The song was produced by Trey Mills, so if you liked 'Are You The One For Me?' get ready for more from this genius producer!

Hi guys!

This week there is not much to talk about in my professional life, only in my personal life,  a new car!! LOL!! But that wasn´t woth a whole newsletter, right? So let's go straight to our Metamorphosis Birthday Series, how are you liking it? I hope those who don't have the album have the chance to listen to it this way and be encouraged to buy it!

This next song is called 'Earth To Irene', and the idea of this song came because I was going through a lot of changes in my life having to move to a foreign country like the US. Here things are a lot different than in my home country, Spain. This made people around me think that I was kinda out of reality, daydreaming, because I had to get used to a new culture and ways of seeing things that I were too harsh & cruel for me. You know what I mean? Anyway, I don't know if I'm making myself clear!! LOL!! So with that idea Frankie wrote the chorus and recorded it (yep, that's him on the background vocals! ;) ). After that we kinda left it there for a while, even though we recorded guitars with Josh Boyd in Detroit & percussion in Canada with Diaa Tass. It wasn't until the time we got to Orlando and met Miss Amy Hartwig that we went back to it and she laid the magic touch to those lyrics!

There you have it, and by the way, I'm still living in a dream... ;)

I am so sorry that I am kinda late today, but we have been in a writing session with my dear friend and songwriter  Amy Hartwig, and talking about Amy... This time let's stop and talk about Let Me Know, song #7 in Metamorphosis, writen by no other than Amy Hartwig, joined by Frankie Biggz & Sha Chill.

I'll tell you a little something about this song... The truth is that we had complete different melody and lyrics for this song. Well, I shouldn't say that... the prechorus & chorus were the same, but the verses were completely different, but neither me nor Frankie were happy about those. And then...miracle! We met Amy and she accepted the challenge, what a change!! After that, it was time forSha Chill to add his rap and... voila! Let Me Know...

How is everything going? I hope you´re having a great weekend. I am feeling better, after a  hectic week... On wednesday we had a private showcase and on thursday, guess where I was? At the ER!! Yep, I was there for about 4 hours because I had a very sharp pain in my lower abdomen, it ended up not being anything, just a few antibiotics and that´s it!

On Friday night we were performing at the L.A.M.A (Latin American Motorcycle Association) club house and we had a lot of fun, there is nothing like latinos to have fun!! The president of the association told us that they would like to have us at their national event on july, in Tenesse, I'd love to go there! I've never been there and you guys know I love to travel...;)

Our car ended up dying, so we have to buy another, not good news... :(  Good news are that a Jeff Lorber's fan contacted me to tell me that he loved our I Wanna Fly, and that he wrote a post about me in his website, I didn't know about it! But then again... how am I gonna know? It's in japanese! Check it out here, thanks Tom!

And here we are, more than half way the album, it´s time for Sorry, fully written & produced by Frankie Biggz. I have a very special place in my heart for this song, since the first time I heard it was in form of a demo and sung by Frankie, it was only verse and chorus, but it stole my heart at the first listen, so much I had the little piece as a ringtone on my phone. We had to change the key in order for me to record it, and then Frankie wrote a second verse and bridge, with great harmonies, I must say. The song was completely recorded in Miami, and it was the fourth song we recorded,  at the same time we recorded Forgive Me Now and an unreleased song called I Can´t Help It, that didn't make the cut for  Metamorphosis.

Hi friends...

To be honest, I am axhausted... Monday & Tuesday were more or less regular, but since Wednesday I havent' stopped moving around, Wednesday we had a long practice with the band, we still have to practice a little more, but little by little our new guitar player is getting used to us... :D So we survive on coffee every Wednesday, that's right!

On Thursday we drove to West Palm Beach, about an hour from Miami, where we were all evening in meetings, the same as on Friday... Very soon we are going to be involved in a big project that will see the light very soon, but I cannot reveal anything right now... On Friday night we got back to Orlando...

Yesterday was fun, we had the birthday partyt for Metamorphosis at Coffee Cabana and it was great, I met  lots of great people and I got to have good coffee! What else can you as for? I want to thank Tracy for setting it all up. I even got a tarot reading there and it said my career is going to kick off this year, awesome! Thank you Christopher!

The truth is that even though I've had a very hectic week, I cannot talk much about it, since all of our business meetings are Top Secret! LOL!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Also, congratulations to my parents, that are celebrating their 29th Wedding Anniversary tomorrow! Yep, they got married on Valentine's Day, awwww! How sweet!

So yeah, last week went by flying, I've been promoting, as always... Also practicing the new songs for the new shows that we're going to have from March on... nothing confirmed as far as dates, but soon I'll have something for you guys...

What else? Today I'm starting a pretty intense weekend, or couple days, however you want to call it... Tonight we're invited to see Spanish Superstar  David Bisbal here in Orlando and tomorrow in Miami,  yay! Even though it's not really my kind of music, I am always excited to meet other artists, specially someone who's at that level!  I do respect the guy a lot, because he's a workaholic! So, tomorrow we have to drive to Miami, which is a pain... I hate cars! But I'm always happy to visit the city that saw Metamorphosis grow... I recorded half of my album there! We also have other business meetings and no time to rest! Monday to Sunday! We just keep on going!

Hiii!!

The thing is I don´t have much to tell you guys, but I would like to write you once a week to tell you little things that happen in my artistic life... is that cool?

For some reasons that we won't discuss here we had to say goodbye to our old guitar player and hello to Jason Davis, our new guitar and member of our improved band, The Music.  We are working on a new show for these next dates in March (I still don't know concrete dates, but as soon as I do I will let you know for sure!). We are adding some more covers and I have to learn all these crazy lyrics, oh no! LOL!

More news, Metamorphosis turned 1 year old last Wednesday, so we are trying to set a "birthday listening party" in the next few weeks, I will let you know about it as soon as we know something... Seems like crazy that it's been a year already since we were in London, wow! Time flies! To celebrate I am gonna give you something as well,  each week for this month and March I am going to be uploading one by one the songs of  "Metamorphosis" that didn't make it to be singles to Reverbnation & Myspace. Starting next Monday February 8th with ¨I Wanna Fly¨. Plus, I will be sending you the lyrics so you can follow as well. This way those who don't have the album will be able to listen to it and maybe decide to buy it !

Hello everbody:

I know that I've been lost for a looong time, but weeks fly when you're busy! Between coming back to the US and having to deal with the jet lag, plus recording new projects and my car dying... it's been almost a month, I'll try not to repeat this behaviour, LOL...

We have a lot of new projects, first the recording of my new album, and at the same time we just  signed with the booking agency D. Bailey Management to help us giging around the US. So we are going to be visiting every Blue Martini around... So last week all the band discussed new material for our live shows, like new cover tunes so everybody can dance and sing when they come see IreneB & The Music.

Plus, last week we were recording, and no, I am not talking about my album, but I cannot reveal much about this... just telling you we have a couple interesting collaborations in a legend's album!

More news, Mr. Trey Mills was here in Orlando, you might remember him because he produced my second single, 'Are You The One For Me?', plus he's worked for people like Michael Jackson, Brian Mcknight, Boyz II Men, etc. . We had the opportunity to hang out with him and talk a little bit more about this new record, and surprise! He already has more songs on the way... so ir you liked  'Are You The One For Me?' get ready, we have more coming!

Luckily, the cold is gone in Florida, we got to like under 30, that is a lot for the Sunshine State! Can you believe it?  Now it's sunshine again and I can go jog outside in the morning, because I really hate it when in the treadmill... so boring!!
