Stoked to be wrapping up our biggest & best winter tour ever. We had great crowds at nearly every show all the way from Seattle to Pittsburgh. Highlights included a big show at Belly Up in Aspen CO with John Browns Body, our 7 day run of shows out east with Zach Deputy, and our first sold out show in the Colorado Springs area. It looks like all this hard work has really started to pay off!

How epic can it get?  Sure to be a highlight of our Winter Tour will be joining Zach Deputy for a portion of his upcoming tour.  If you haven’t seen him perform yet, prepare to have your mind blown.  Zach is a good friend of ours and a talented musician, songwriter, and impressive entertainer.  With a little help from his synth guitar—capable of making the sound of virtually any instrument under the sun—a ridiculous multi-mic set up that rivals most back up vocals, unprecedented live looping skills and an impressive singing voice, Deputy single-handedly creates a sound that, if you didn’t know any better, you would think was delivered by an eight-piece band.  This is one of those events that’s definitely worth a road trip!

A lot of bands consider their traveling patterns to be relentless touring outfits, but one band that has consistently called the open road home for the last three years is Jon Wayne and The Pain. Tireless touring veterans is not an easy label to hold, but JWP has lived up to the billing each year. Sprouting from Minneapolis, Minnesota, often times Midwest reggae-rock bands get overlooked for the sunshine and crashing waves of coastal living that accompanies reggae music. However, Jon Wayne and The Pain perform a completely different style of music than the average reggae-rock band from Southern California or east coast beach towns. JWP describes their music as Reggae-Tronic Dub, and that is the ideal description of their recorded and live sound. Jon Wayne and The Pain have been carving a sizable niche in the reggae-rock genre, and their fan base continues to grow with each subsequent tour. The JWP trio which consists of Jon Wayne (lead singer/guitarist), Teeto Miller (drums) and Chuck E. Torgey (bass/dub controls) are legitimate coast-to-coast road warriors having played an average of 20 shows per month for the last 3 years. Their live shows are a powerful display of the trio’s “Reggae-Tronic Dub”. The band creates a unique psychedelic Reggae sound by blending Reggae-Rock, Roots, Pop, and Ska with evolving bass heavy tangents of electronic dub. Most recently, their sophomore release Follow Through was recorded at 17th Street Recording Studio under the watchful eye of producer/engineer extraordinaire, Lewis Richards. Jon Wayne and The Pain are still touring in support of their most recent release, and once again, the trio will hit the road for 25-dates over the next two months. Starting out in their home state of Minnesota. By the tours conclusion in late February, JWP will have performed multiple shows in ten different states, focusing on the mountain west and west coast regions, specifically. If you are looking for a spiritual, live, musical experience full of emotional and prosperous lyrics, Jon Wayne and The Pain will fill your cup to the brim. By the time the night has come to an end, you will be asking and begging for more.

Reminiscent of the heart-felt Reggae Rock love songs first written and recorded by Jon Wayne and The Pain, “Pipe Dreams” is a bitter-sweet tale of a love lost but not forgotten.  Footage in this video was filmed by the band while on tour giving a glimpse of the Reggae-Rock trio’s adventures through the Midwest, Rockies, and West Coast.
