The folks clapped a lot, which is good, they tapped their toes, which is even better. Better still the management was pleased with our music and said "Would you want to play at my other pub as well?" or words to that effect. Heck yeah!

One of our photog friends took some shots and I'll post some when they are available. Good fun. I can't wait to do it again.

Yesterday Rob Gandara drove down from his Grandmother's in Tampa to let me try out some of his whistles and flutes, and to put them through the RTTA testing. Rob's the maker at Pipe Maker's Union http://www.carbony.com/, and a nice guy to have around. He had the biggest suitcase you could imagine stuffed full of all manner of whistles, flutes and bagpipes. 

After looking at the plots of some of them and talking about what could/should be done, we adjourned to the Celtic Ray for our weekly session. Rob thought the pub was the perfect spot and the session was a good one. He said he'd make a point to come back down whenever he was in Tampa in the future.

I don't even know how I ran across it, but I'm testing out ArtistData.com a performer's one-stop data updating service. I do have a MySpace and Facebook page as well as my own web site, which I blog to with Blogger.com. Sometimes I post on one, sometimes on another. It would be nice to just post a blog or appearance once and have it updated on all those places. 

So, I'm trying it. If I'm going to a session I'll post it as a show on ArtistData and in theory it will appear in the calendars in the other places. It will also be sent to the local media two weeks in advance and posted on a number of concert databases. I think I'll probably look like a national act! 

So you might be seing a lot of postings that look a little different than my usual fare while I figgure out how best to use this.
