BACKGROUND

The Pigeonhole opened its doors on Duxton Road in March 2011. Over the past 20 months, we've supported the arts and civil society in Singapore by hosting events, exhibitions, gigs, and talks. We've also made friends with amazing musicians, artists, volunteers, geeks, and many more.

Now, because of issues with rental, we have to move out of Duxton Road. Our last day in the current premises will be Saturday 29 December 2012.

Some of our loyal customers and friends came up to us offering their help. Seriously amazing and unbelievable. We didn't know what to do so we started by using an empty beer carton to store these kind donations.

We would need about S$15,000 in order to move to a new physical location. This amount consists of a 2-months security deposit, 1 month rent upfront, and minor renovations/painting/repairs.

This fundraising campaign started because we - and many of our friends and customers - really don't want us to close down for good.

We don't have the funds to carry on in a new location, but we really want to continue to support the arts and civil society in Singapore.

Please, keep The Pigeonhole alive.

It's happening again! JUICE turns 14 this year and they have another epic party lined up on 10th November (Saturday) at Zouk to celebrate their everlasting youthfulness. It's '90s themed so dig up those threads from the past and join us for a night of partying like it's 1999 again! There will be music performances by Pleasantry, MONSTER CAT and Adrian Wee, a specially curated JUICE exhibition showcasing the design greatness of our favourite local artists, and of course, lotsa booze... TACK IS BACK!

Na zes succesvolle edities in Amsterdam vindt het festival dit jaar voor het eerst gelijktijdig in de 3 verschillende steden plaats, waaronder in Rotterdam onder de noemer Discovery Festival Rotterdam.

Discovery Festival Rotterdam is ook goed te bereiken met het openbaar vervoer. Bussen 44 en 46 (halte Sophia Kinderziekenhuis) stoppen om de hoek. Tramlijn 4 (halte Mathenesserlaan), 7 en 20 (halte Witte de Withstraat/Museumpark) en metrolijnen A,B of C (halte Eendrachtsplein) bevinden zich op loopafstand.

In part two of this year’s Tribal Gathering of Tongue Tasters, listen to the trippy and lush musings of the enigmatic MONSTER CAT, resonating life and all its innards through their songs, and Kai Lam, explorer, observer and artist who channels his expressions through a wide range of artistic practices including sound.

Now imagine the music language formed when these social actors meet. Imagine them and yourself conversing through music.
