Shear Love is a dream come true for owner and stylist, Mimi Lee. Eight years ago she began her career at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in California. She continued her studies in New York, training with Gerard Scarpaci, Creative Art Director for ARROJO. Mimi has taught as a haircutting specialist at the Paul Mitchell Institute with a portfolio complete with hair shows, weddings and photo shoots as well as working in the salon on all hair types and textures. Mimi is also the former Creative Art Director at Lux The Salon in Grant Park and a current member of the Sebastian Urban Design Team.

Shear Love is a haven for hairstylists, allowing them to be their own and receive continuing education. Mimi has also set up an apprenticeship program so that shear love becomes a learning center and an alternative to traditional cosmetology schools. Mimi Lee is an artistic, versatile stylist who brings her passion to shear love, one client and one stylist at a time.
