New MaximumDonkey are going back to Church this Thursday (5/13). The Donks are playing an acoustic set at the Church of Rock and Roll. If you think we can't rock acoustically... fuck you. We can. We will. You'll want to be there.

Where: Old Towne Pub/77 N. Fair Oaks/Pasadena, CA 91101

When: Church starts at 9pm (make-out session at 8pm though) - also playing are Sebastian Bach, The Power Cords, and Get Set Go. Donks on around 10:30pm and as always there is an after-show jam session around midnight.

Hey folks!

Been awhile, but the Donks are still alive and kickin'. Just wanted to give some updates to those of you on the mailing list (in case you haven't been following on Facebook or (insert other ubiquitous social networking site here)).

We are playing again at the Old Towne Pub in Pasadena as part of the newly formed "CHURCH OF ROCK AND ROLL." Mike TV (of Get Set Go) has put together a really spectacular evening of music, fun, mischief and really just great entertainment unlike anything you've seen before. Hopefully you can come down and check it out and see us play again. If you have a good time, the "Church" will change to every Thursday night in April and will continue into May and hopefully beyond. It's worth the weekly trip for the great bands and good people involved. If anything, we're just hoping to convince all of you to help us out in building this "scene" of like-minded musicians/fans/human beings.

8:30pm until closing (and it's very worth it to stay through the close when everyone gets up on stage and play fun songs together in one big jam/sing-a-long).

In other news, Louie Renteria is filling in on drums while Tim finishes up his CHiP training. And it IS headed toward the finish line. Tim hit the halfway mark this week. He's kicking ass, too. Ranked #2 in physical fitness in his class of over a hundred (and 8th in academics), Tim is on fire. And soon he'll be back drumming up a storm and wasting all that hard-earned smarts/muscle for beer and rock.

Record release show for "I Give Up" (MikeTV of "Get Set Go"), "Secret Powers," "The Power Cords" and "New MaximumDonkey."  You don't get a chance for such a pure night of power-pop rock like this with such an amazing celebration of the releases and the musicianship behind it all.

All four bands came together to create their own label, "Square Tire Music" which will be "launching" that evening as well.

Really hope to see everyone there for the whole night.  Drinks, music, and a ton of ass-crappingly-amazing rock!
